The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Research Seminar Series offers weekly presentations held on Fridays from 12–1 p.m. in the Sky Lobby Auditorium, 10th Floor. The Spring 2017 seminars will continue through June 2.
The seminar on April 21 features David Zembower, PhD, MBA, executive director, Center for Advanced Clinical Research and Technology Transfer, who will present “The Anatomy of Successful Collaboration.”
Dr. Zembower will address how success in today’s research environment is often heavily dependent upon healthy collaborative relationships, both within and outside one’s home institution. He will highlight the importance of negotiating a transparent and mutually beneficial agreement up-front as key to launching and maintaining a happy, successful collaboration, especially with a commercial partner.
He will also outline various considerations when collaborating with non-academic partners, as well as introduce attendees to colleagues here who can help them through the process.
